Dog microchip information and disclaimer

Eligibility and requirements:

- I confirm my dog is healthy and not displaying any symptoms of illness (e.g., coughing, sneezing, vomiting, diarrhoea, lethargy).
- I confirm my dog is up to date with their vaccinations.
- I confirm my dog is free from fleas or external parasites.
- I understand aggressive or severely anxious dogs, or those that cannot be safely handled, may not be microchipped at this event.
- I confirm my puppy is at least 6 weeks old and approximately one kilogram or more in body weight.
- I confirm if my dog is not registered on Dogs and Cats Online, I will do this after my dog is microchipped.
- I understand the cost of the microchip is $10 and will pay this while completing my application.

Post-insertion care:

- I agree to monitor my dog's injection site for the next few days for tenderness, swelling, or scabbing.
- I will keep the area of my dog clean and dry, and not allow my dog to swim or bathe for 24–48 hours post-procedure.
- I will prevent my dog from excessively licking or scratching the site.
- I will report any concerning symptoms (e.g., significant redness, swelling, discharge, heat, or lameness) to a veterinarian.

Possible risks:

- I understand and accept that minimal, rare risks are associated with microchipping, including minor pain, brief bleeding, swelling or bruising, infection, chip migration, rare lumps or hair loss, chip failure, or extremely rare allergic reaction.

Payment:

- The cost of the microchipping service is $10 per dog.
- Payment must be made via the link in the email sent immediately after this booking is submitted. Failure to receive payment after 24 hours will result in the cancellation of your appointment.
